Chrome Opaline Glass Lily of the Valley Table Lamp c.1950s

A sculptural bedside lamp in chromed metal, its stem twisting upward in a single ribbon-like sweep, echoing a curling leaf, before curving out to hold an opaline glass shade in a soft, drooping bell form reminiscent of lily of the valley. A small piece of sculpture rather than a standard lamp base. A recognisable motif in French decorative lighting of the period, though unattributed to a named maker. Electrics: New brass E14 fitting, twisted fabric cord, EU plug. Condition: Pitting to the chrome finish and tiny chip in edge of glass shade. Dimensions: H 36cm / 14.2", base Diam 10cm / 3.9"
