Détails du produit

A table lamp in deep green, matte-glazed stoneware, designed by the renowned ceramic artist Wilhelm Kåge for the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory in the 1930s. The mottled glaze shifts between emerald and moss tones. The body is flanked by three sculptural handles on each side and rests on a stepped foot. It is fitted with a turned, dark-stained wood cap and patinated brass hardware. Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. As artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917 to 1949, he is often regarded as a father of Swedish modernism. His work is represented in the collection of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, among others. Unmarked, but unmistakably by Kåge. Sold without lampshade. Professionally rewired.
