Geometric Wood Lamp France 1950s

A small hand-carved table lamp in dark stained wood, its cubic form set on a diagonal so the base reads as a tilted diamond rather than a simple block, raised on a stepped square foot. There's a rawness and naivety to the carving that gives it real character. Paired with a square tapered shade in 100% hemp linen with the original bakelite switch and updated electrics throughout. Condition: Good, wear consistent with age with some marks and dents. Dimensions: H 28cm / 11" (including lampshade), Base 9cm / 3.5" x 9cm / 3.5". Recommended to use LED lightbulbs with this lampshade.
