Pair of Gio Ponti Silver-Plated Bud Vases / Candlesticks for Calderoni - 1930s

A rare pair of sculptural solifleur vases / candlesticks designed by Gio Ponti for Calderoni in the 1930s. Crafted in silver-plated Alpacca, the elegant elongated stems culminate in distinctive flower-shaped openings, giving the pieces an almost surreal, botanical silhouette. Designed as versatile table objects, they can be used either as candlesticks or as small bud vases for individual flowers. Two pairs are available: one polished, retaining subtle age-related traces, and one unpolished with its beautifully developed original patina. Set of 2.
