Vintage Art Deco Alabaster Table Lamp, 1930s, Denmark

A Danish Art Deco table lamp in warm, richly veined alabaster, produced in the 1930s by the little-known Danish English Alabaster Industry Ltd. The base is turned in a generous baluster form, its creamy white stone dramatically streaked with ox-red and rust, finished with darkly patinated brass fittings. As much a sculptural object as a source of light. Paired with a new white linen shade and newly rewired with an off-white linen textile cord. Dimensions Height with shade: 47 (18.5") Height without shade: 31 cm (12.2") Shade diameter: 20 cm (7.8")
